Connexicon Medical, a medical device startup based in Ireland, has been acquired by a US-based medical technology company, Tego MedTech. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but it has been reported that the sale provided a significant return for Connexicon's angel investors. Connexicon Medical was founded in 2013 and developed a medical device for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The company raised funding from angel investors to support its research and development efforts, and the sale to Tego MedTech represents a successful exit for those investors. The acquisition is expected to help Tego MedTech expand its product portfolio and strengthen its position in the medical device market.
